Anadarko Kids Christmas Party

With oil prices as low as they are, we weren't sure that there would be an Anadarko kids Christmas party this year.  Thankfully, they pulled through and still put it on.  It is one of Avery and Chloe's favorite events of the year!

I remember last year, Chloe had learned to walk not long before the party so she would still get down and crawl from time to time.  What a difference a year makes!  She was enthusiastically running from place to place this year.

We saw and did all of the major booths/ attractions...

Pictures with Santa-

Balloon art-

Face painting (or hand painting for Avery)

Dancing on the dance floor-

Cookie decorating-

Crafts-

Playing in Bill's office-

And taking hundreds of unsuccessful pictures of our family ;)

After the party, we went to Berryhill Tacos for some lunch with the Talkington fam, our yearly tradition.

Such fun times!  Hopefully oil prices will go back up soon so that they can continue to put on such a fun family event.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving this year was a little different than years past.  We usually go to my parents' house but my mom's back issues and surgery date changes caused us to change plans.  We ended up having Bill's Dad and siblings over for lunch and my side of the family over for dinner.  It worked great!

We started with brisket and sides for lunch.  Avery set the table and made place cards for everyone.

Avery was so helpful this year.  She helped with the setup and cooking.

At first we thought that my mom was going to have surgery on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving so I had planned to just have my sisters (and families) over.  The surgery date got changed so my parents were able to come.  It was such a nice, relaxing, low key Thanksgiving dinner.

Even though we hosted two meals that day, it was one of my favorite Thanksgivings so far.  We were able to spend time with our immediate family throughout the day without even leaving our house.  What could be better?!?

Halloween 2015

There were lots of fun activities that took place in the weeks leading up to Halloween this year.

The week before Halloween, Avery's school put on a little Halloween carnival/ fund raiser.  The girls dressed up, played some games, and did some dancing.  They had a lot of fun!

That Sunday, we had Kel and Andrew over to carve some pumpkins.  They carved their own this year and Avery judged the two pumpkins.

Our finished product

Kel and Andrew won!  Andrew spent so much time perfecting those teeth so he definitely deserved it!

The girls wanted to some big spiders on the house this year, so Bill got to decorating!

Chloe did some shopping to get some more candy to pass out.

We also went to the Fall Festival at Faithbridge.  Chloe was sick last year and couldn't participate.  She was more than thrilled to go this year!

My Elsa and Olivia

On Halloween night, we had some mummy dogs, went to a few houses for trick or treating and then headed home to check out all of the goodies.
