Cancun!!!

On my birthday, we boarded a plane headed for Mexico!!!  We have really needed a vacation and were so excited for some rest and relaxation!

The vacation begins for me once we board the plane.  I had to get some pics to commemorate the beginning of our trip.

We went to bed around 11:45pm the night before the trip, and I woke up around 3am.  I literally could not force myself to go back to sleep.  Since we had to be up at 4:45, I just stayed up.  By around 3:30 pm, I hit a wall.  We were finally able to get into our rooms, and I immediately went to sleep.  I was sooo tired!  After a nap, we got ready and headed to dinner.

The next few days were spend sleeping, eating, laying out, eating, swimming, and more eating.  The best part of all inclusive hotels is that you have unlimited food and drinks at all times.  We even had a mini fridge with cokes, beers, and candy bars.  How did they know that I love snickers and M&M's!

Out to dinner at the mexican restaurant, our favorite.

This trio drastically increased our love for this restaurant.  They were so fun!

The first show, Pop Stars, was our favorite.

Breakfast one morning

I want to go back!!!! I miss this view.

One afternoon, we were hanging out in front of our rooms, and this happened... a little bottle balancing, juggling, and well, whatever Bill was doing.

The last night at The Lobster House

Our little iguana friend by our hammock.  We knew Avery and Chloe would love to see this!
The vacation was so much fun and very relaxing.  It seemed to fly by quicker than past vacations for some unknown reason.  I wish that I were on that beach right now!

End of the year/ Avery's preschool graduation

The time has come.  Avery is officially done with Klein Weekday.  She has made so much progress throughout this year and is now really ready for kindergarten.  It is so bittersweet!

First and last day of Preschool 4's

Chloe had to get in on the picture taking action

This is from Avery's 1st day at Klein Weekday.  She's come a long way!
The kids play in the "schoolyard" on nice days.  It cracks me up every time they say that because it sounds like a place from Little House on the Prairie times! We absolutely had to let them play one last time even though it felt like 1 million degrees outside.  We also had to get one last bench pic.

We took a sonic trip to celebrate afterwards.
That night, we went to Avery's preschool graduation.  They sang, were presented their diplomas, and had a little reception afterwards.

Avery loved her teachers this year- Mrs. Westbrook and Mrs. Julie

Alyson and Avery- sweet friends

The trio on their last day at the same school. :(

Claire, Alyson, and Avery
We bid farewell to Klein Weekday but thankfully Chloe will most likely go to school there so Ave can visit.  On the drive home, Avery said, "I'm really going to miss Klein Weekday."

In April, we registered Avery for Kindergarten.  Here she is in front of Timber Creek-

I'm going to be honest.  This has been a tough semester for me.  There are so many changes coming up, and I don't do well with change.  I don't doubt at all that she isn't going to thrive but it's hard.  She is going to grow up and be exposed to a lot that she hasn't been exposed to before.  She will be gone five days a week from me, and I'll never have those weekdays back.  The great thing is that Avery could not be more pumped about going to Kindergarten.  She asks to drive by her new school every day and wishes that she could go now.  She is going to do so well, and hopefully will be a bright light in the world.  While I'm sad that her preschool days are over, I can't wait to see what the future holds!

Mother's Day

I started this Mother's Day off with a brunch at Avery's school.  They requested that no younger siblings be present so my mom watched Chloe.  It has been a while since I was able to attend something at her school alone!

They started off by singing to us together in the chapel.

Next came the brunch, a slideshow (that I cried while watching), and the sweetest "you are my sunshine" serenade.

They got down on their knees, gazed into our eyes, and sang.  Melt.my.heart.

On Sunday, Bill and the girls made me breakfast in bed.  Then we went to church and then headed to the Aquarium!

I love nothing more than being a mother.  It is the greatest gift I have been given!

The Zoo

Since Kindergarten is rapidly approaching, and Luke, Garrett, and Avery's weekday time together is dwindling we decided to take advantage of a beautiful April day and go to the zoo.  These three used to spend several days a week together and now life is so much busier.  I'm so sad about this but I guess that's just life!

It feels like just yesterday that this was a weekly scene intermixed with trips to the park and other playdates.  I can't get over how quickly the past 5 years have gone.

Now there are three more crazies added to the mix!  Here are some pictures from that day...

They are just a tad bigger than the earlier picture :)

Out like a light before we left the parking lot

I'm so glad we arranged this.  I will always cherish the memories that these three have made together.  Instead of dwelling on them getting older, I choose to be excited about having more one on one time with Chloe next year and playdates with the younger three!
