Avery decided that she wanted to give soccer a try this spring. She started with a soccer class. After the first class, she said she loved it!

| "Soccer is sooo tiring but fun!" |
The class session was over in four weeks. Luke started in a coed soccer league two weeks prior so I asked if Avery could join the team. They let her, and she became a proud member of the Green Goal Munchers. They had practice one day a week plus one game on Saturdays.

| First outside practice! |
 |
| Little sisters at the first outside practice. I'm pretty sure they had just as much fun as the big kids running around. |
It rained almost every single weekend. Out of 7ish games, they had only two outside. Picture day was on one of those pretty, clear days.
 |
| We ran into Chels and noticed Caleb and Chloe had matching Eric Carle outfits on. Cuties! |
 |
| Right in the middle of the game, Avery saw Sophia and ran over to wave. She was VERY focused on the ball. ;) |
Avery loved the idea of soccer- wearing the outfit, running around with her friends, etc. but didn't actually make much contact with the ball. She just didn't really seem to care to ;). If someone was going to try to get the ball then she would just let them. One of her favorite parts of the game was the water breaks. There would also be parts of the game when we would see Luke and Ave just walking around holding hands far, far away from the ball. She really did improve over the course of the season but I'm not sure this is her calling. We may stick with dance or gymnastics. I'm thankful, though, that she tried out a new sport and got to experience something different. She had lots of fun and made some good memories so that's all that matters!
