He's home!

We brought Colin home on Monday night.  I always think it's sweet when you first get home with your newborn.  They are in the house for the first time and everything suddenly feels more real.

I'm not going to lie, the first night felt very overwhelming.  Adding one child seemed 100 times harder probably because the girls were a little off from the past few days.  It was tough. There were some meltdowns (possibly one on my part by the end of the night ;) ).  After a couple of days, we got a routine down and everyone got back to normal.  It was a lot of change for the girls to undergo so I completely understand why they had some special moments at first!

Chloe was so sweet burping her baby
I think Avery would hold Colin all day long if given the chance!
I can never resist sleeping baby pictures.  Colin is just so precious and small, and I want to remember these days forever!

Ash brought us dinner which meant that Luke and Lil got to meet the little guy for the first time.  They were SO sweet with him!

I could have watched Luke with him all day long.  He just gazed and talked to him.  He's going to have to teach him lots of boy things since I don't have a clue!

The girls have gotten really creative in their play while I spend hours nursing on the couch a day.  One particular day they made the house a mall and were going around with their purses to buy different items.

We gave Colin his first real bath after his cord came off.  Let's just say he wasn't a big fan!

I love a good hooded towel pic!
We are absolutely loving our little guy!  He is so chill and precious.  We can't get enough of him!

Colin's hospital stay

One of my fondest memories with each of the kids is the hospital stay.  There is something so sweet and special about getting to know your newborn.  I absolutely loved having one on one time with Colin before returning to the chaos and routine at home.  Bill and I joked that it was kind of like a vacation.  We could order room service and lay around all day!

I just sat around staring at how perfect Colin was.  We really soaked in every minute since we knew that this was going to be the last time we experienced it.

My mom brought the girls by around lunchtime.  We were so excited to see them, and they were equally if not more excited to meet Colin.  They were both so sweet and gentle with their new baby brother.

The girls baked us cupcakes and stopped by the gift shop to pick up some presents for Colin.

They even sang him some songs and read a book to them.  So precious!  After they left, we had some more people come to visit.

We ended up having to stay for two nights since I wasn't able to get two rounds of antibiotics during labor.  The hospital stay was wonderful but we were definitely ready to get home to our girls.
