Avery's 4th birthday party!

Avery decided that she wanted to have her birthday party at The Little Gym this year.  She was beyond excited when the day came for her big 4 year old party!

There was a minor downpour just as the party was beginning but the rain didn't stop the fun.  We just had a few wet kiddos :).

A couple days before the party, Avery decided that she wanted a Frozen theme.  It's no secret that she is slightly obsessed with Elsa so I was happy to make that happen.  I bought a couple of plates, napkins, a Frozen cake, put Avery's hair in a side braid, and called it a day.  This may have been the easiest party ever!

On the way home from the party, Avery talked about how special everyone made her feel.  It's so sweet that her memory from the party is not going to be about the presents she got but about how special she felt.  She had such a great time with her friends and family!  That's all a mom could ask for!

I still can't get over the fact that I have a four year old but I am loving this stage.  I'm so glad that we could have a great party to celebrate another year of enjoying our girl!

Father's Day 2014

There is nothing that Bill enjoys more than a relaxing day lounging around the house with our family. When I asked what he wanted to do for Father's Day, that is just what he requested. That's easy! Avery had been talking about surprising Bill with breakfast in bed for days before Father's Day so she was so excited when she was able to do that. We went to church and then went to lunch at Hooks airport with his dad, siblings, and grandparents.
Afterwards, it was naps had by all followed by more lounging and then a movie night with pizza for dinner.

I cannot say enough about what a great daddy Bill is to the girls. He loves them soo very much and they just adore him. Chloe gets so excited to see Bill every day. When he walks in the door after work, Chloe always squeals loudly to get his attention. Avery runs up to him excitedly and hugs him too. He gets quite the welcome home greeting every day!
Ever since Chloe was born, Avery has attached herself to Bill more than before. Every morning she asks if he is going to be home that day and is dissapointed if he has to go to work. We've been talking a lot about elementary school lately, and her favorite part is that she gets to go to school every day that Bill goes to work (and be home when he's home). I'm trying not to take it personally that she doesn't want to be home with just me during the week ;).
He is just the best dad that I could have imagined for Avery and Chloe. I've always been so thankful for the husband that he is to me, but since having kids, I am so very thankful that he is the caring, sweet, hands-on dad to our girls too! We love you Bill!

Chloe is 9 months old!

My Chloe girl is 9 months old. Each month is a reminder that we are getting closer and closer to her first birthday. She's such a joy, and I just love her to pieces!

This girl is BUSY! The top 3 pics were a few of about 50 pics. Here are some outtakes-

Puppy overboard

Then some snuggles

Trying to end it all before my very eyes!

Here are her 9 month stats (we didn't get her appt until 9 months and 19 days)-
Height- 28.5 in.- 73%
Weight- 19 lbs. 12 oz- 59%
Head Circ.-45.7 cm- 87%
Her cheeks are still as round and cute as ever but she has trimmed down a lot from her constant crawling... or should I saying dragging of her body :).

Chloe loves pretty much any foods that I give to her. She's tried a ton of new things this month and adores it all. I love this about her! The only thing that she isn't a huge fan of is eggs. I think it's a texture thing more than a flavor thing. We have even gotten Avery to try a few new things because Chloe likes them!

She couldn't get enough! She fits in perfectly in this family.

Her sleep schedule remains the same. She is still sleeping in her Zipadee zip and loves it so much. The material covers her hands and looks like little lobster claws. She likes to take these little lobster claws and grab/tap my face constantly as I put her to sleep at night. This is really random but when I think back to her babyhood, those taps will always be remembered. I tried to get rid of the zipadee zip for naps a couple of weeks ago. She woke after 30 minutes for every nap and after day 2, she woke up at midnight. A shudder took over my whole body when I had a flashback of her horrible month of sleep now considered one of the low points in my life :). I'm not dramatic or anything. I immediately put it back on, and everything went back to normal. I hate that she is dependent on sleeping wiht it but she just adores it so much. Once I put it on her, she rubs her eyes and falls asleep instantly. Oh well, as long as she doesn't go to kindergarten with it on!

That cannot be comfortable!

Over the past month, there have been times when Bill and I look at each other and say, "maybe this is going to be our wild child." She gets this mischevious look on her face and does something that totally surprises us. The other night, she would shake her head back and forth quickly and then just log roll until she hit a wall. She would laugh and do it again. She also LOVES to wrestle with Bill and even gets a tad jealous when he's wrestling with Avery. I'll tell Ave to be soft with Chloe all the time only to find out that Chlo girl is loving what Ave is doing. She just is a little crazy!

This is a totally normal thing to do with a barstool!

Kicking the wall to hear the banging noise

Chloe has been army crawling or basically dragging her body around since she was around 7 1/2 months old. I keep thinking that she surely has to crawl normally at some point. She'll get up on all fours, see somewhere she wants to go, and then lunge her body forward crawling her special way. All of her outfits look so dirty by the end of the day. No matter how clean I think my floors are, her onesies definitely need a good washing. One of her leg folds is also substantially smaller than the other because she only uses one arm and the opposite leg to propel herself. It gets her where she needs to go, though!

Where's Chloe?

Here are some more pics from this month-

Just a little morning dress up. Avery doesn't look sneaky or anything!

Chlo was feeling cool in her new ride while Sis picked her 1, 879th flower of the day.

Hanging out so patiently during Ave's swim lessons

Playdate with Mr. Logan!

For some reason, seeing my two girls take a bath in their tub made me feel like they are really growing up. They love each other SO much, and this is just another place that they can play together!

We love you sweet girl!
