The Zipps family held a family reunion over Memorial Day Weekend. It was in College Station and Hilltop Lakes so we decided to make a mini vacation out of it! Avery is OBSESSED with vacations lately so she was so very excited about the weekend.
We stopped at Buc-ee's on the way to College Station. A vacation is not a vacation without a stop at a gas station for snacks- preferably a Buc-ee's.

There were two parts to the reunion- a bbq lunch in College Station on Saturday and a fajita lunch in Hilltop Lakes on Sunday.
We had fun getting to see lots of family members that we haven't seen in years. Some since our wedding. I didn't get any pictures during lunch, though. Avery was absolutely eating up all of the attention. She did some twirls, dance moves, and talked everyone's ears off. I never know whether she is going to be super shy or completely outgoing. She went for outgoing that day!
After lunch, we went to our hotel for some rest time. Avery loves hotels. They are her favorite part of every vacation- specifically the couch bed.
After a nap for Chloe and some down time for Ave, we went to McAllisters for dinner. When Bill and I were living in College Station, we went there for lunch pretty much every Sunday after church. Bill gives me a hard time for all of the reminiscing that I always do, and you better believe I was doing a lot of it that weekend!
After dinner, we walked around the A&M campus. We saw Bill's dorm and some new buildings that weren't there last time we were there. I have so many memories visiting the guys with Ash and walking around brought back many more!
Ave was so fascinated with this squirrel climbing the side of the building.
Future Aggies?
Chloe is not so sure about that!
Next up was some dessert!
That night, we put Chloe down in our room and hung out with Ave in the living room until bedtime.
Watching some Disney Jr on her beloved couch bed.
After breakfast the next morning, we went to Hilltop Lakes. Every Thanksgiving, Bill and I would go to stay with his Nana and Papa at their house. They moved to College Station a couple of years ago so it was nice to go back and see it again.
The lunch was held at Rob and Dee's house. The last time I was there was for Avery's baby shower over 4 years ago!
Avery made two instant best friends that day. I'm not really sure how they are related but she absolutely adored these two.
It was really nice catching up with everyone!

Before we left, we drove by the old house. So many memories. So much reminiscing on the way home. So much fun for Bill ;).
Our weekend ended up being even more fun than we thought it would be. It makes me so excited for another vacation next month!
I love this! Such sweet memories. And, I adore Chloe's face. Maybe Luke and Ave can be Aggies, and Lil and Chloe can be our Baylor Bears. ;)
