Last weekend, Kelly and Andrew got engaged! Andrew contacted us earlier in the week asking if we could all get together to celebrate after he proposed on Saturday evening. Since Ave is always a perfect angel in nice restaurants (sarcasm!), Sophia is so tiny, and it is difficult to really talk to everyone at a restaurant, Bill and I offered up our house to celebrate.
Kelly was coming into town over the weekend to see Sophia since she hadn't seen her since she was born. She also was going to see Andrew in College Station. Andrew was going to surprise Kel while walking their pups/ having a picnic in College Station and then Steph and I had come up with a plan to go to dinner that night just the three of us plus babies. Kelly was going to come to my house and then we would ride together to the restaurant. All day Saturday, I waited for Kelly to call to announce to me that she had gotten engaged. When she never called, I wondered what the heck was going on. Well, it turns out that Kel thought that she would surprise Steph and me that night at dinner. The joke was on her!
When she got to my house, my parents, Andrew's parents, his brother, Bill, Scott, Steph, and I were waiting. Stephanie and I went to the door when they arrived, and Kelly announced that she was engaged. I shouted, "Oh my gosh, I had NO IDEA!" and then lured her into the kitchen where everyone was hiding. She was so surprised! I just love surprises!
Here are the only pictures that I took that night-

We are so excited to have Andrew join the family. He's been around so long that he already seems like one of us! The wedding will be next July, and I can't wait for all of the wedding festivities to begin!
