Avery's birthday fell on a Saturday this year. This is the first year that Bill would be home to celebrate on her actual birthday. I think she understood her birthday for the most part last year but this year she was definitely excited. We decorated her door the night before so that she would see it when she woke up the next morning. She was so very excited that she decided to stay awake playing in her bed until after midnight. She called me up to her room (which she never does anymore) around 12:15 am and told me her giraffe was "freaking her out." Two things came to my mind. #1 What is she talking about? She's delirious. #2 I have got to change some phrases that I use :) Thankfully, she went to sleep right after that.
Anyway, the next morning, she was absolutely giddy with excitement! She loved the streamers and balloons and was ready to party!

We let her open one present from us before breakfast. 1st up- Cinderella glass slippers that she has been asking Bill to get her for about a year.

Since Ave loves to bake and cook with me, she wanted to assist in her favorite breakfast preparation- pancakes!

After breakfast, she opened the rest of her presents from us and played with them all morning.
After lunch, it was time to take a good nap and get ready for her big party at Bouncin' Bears!
The pic of Ave busting through her door is priceless! But the one of her with her present is my new fav - precious!
