I absolutely adore Avery's teachers this year at school. They do so many fun activities with the kids and Ave loves them dearly. One thing that they do is take turns bringing home a bear named Coco. The kids are to take Coco around wherever they go for a couple of days and take pictures of their adventures.
Avery was the first to take him home at the beginning of the semester. I had just given birth and was not exactly super mom at the time. We did bring him to Galveston when we took Chloe's impromptu beach pics which I felt very proud of. At least we got points for taking him the farthest :).
They send home a little journal for you to write about the adventures with your child. Well, I remember waking up on the Tuesday morning after we had Coco and realized that her stuff was due back that morning. It was hard enough adjusting to getting two kiddos fed and ready to go much less do anything extra. I frantically printed off two pictures from the computer and wrote literally two sentences so that she could bring it back on time. At least I had a good excuse!
Avery got to take home Coco again before Christmas, and I decided that we were going to rock it this time since I have gotten SO much better at having two children :).
I definitely took more pictures this time around. However, I didn't feel like printing them off at Walgreens and realized the night before it was due that our color printer ink was going out. The pictures look a little less than perfect. Rocking it, we did not. Oh well! I have learned a lot about letting go of perfection lately.
This activity has made me realize how much I am not looking forward to the many, many projects that are in our future. Avery absolutely loved having Coco around, though, which is obviously what matters most!
