The Houston Rodeo

Several weeks ago, we went to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.  We've taken Avery the past couple of years, and it's always been a big hit.  We met the Talkington family on one of the guys' Fridays off, and we all had a lot of fun!

The short train ride is always one of Avery's favorite parts!

In the future, when I think of Chloe as a baby I'll always remember this face.  I'm not sure what she is doing, but it accentuates her cheeks and makes me want to kiss all over them.

The pony rides are always a must.

Luke and Chloe have a special bond :)

Last year, we brought home 2 containers with sunflower seeds and one grew into a huge, beautiful sunflower.  She got a new container this year plus Bill planted about 15 more in our flowerbed.

Group pic...love this!
Both of the big kiddos were fascinated by the bees.  I'm not sure what was so exciting about them but they were in a trance when they saw them.

Next up was the outside market area.

My poor, sweet second child.  She is just so content with life and totally went along for the ride even when a sunflower cup flipped over onto her head!

The guys took Ave and Luke into the petting zoo while we fed the little ones.

Apparently, a goat gave birth while the kids were in the petting zoo.  I'm not sure how sanitary it was but Ave and Luke got a real life science lesson that day.  Ash and I discussed that she must be way better at giving birth naturally than us because we never heard insane screaming coming from that direction :).

After lunch, there was a little dancing followed by some rides in the carnival area.

I'm sure the chances of these two getting married is slim but if they did, we will have the most precious slideshow pictures of them!

After a big morning and a wardrobe change due to an explosive diaper, we made our way to the exit (not before a ride on the escalator, though).

The little ones so patiently waited for their siblings.

Chlo girl was exhausted and fell asleep right as we were making our way to the car.

 Until next year, Rodeo!
