Here's his latest-
We went back to Dr Nandwani a little after he was two weeks old. Chloe and Avery both were slow to gain weight at first so I had to bring them back for weight checks. Thankfully, he had gained all that he needed by then so I didn't have to go back until the 1 month visit.
Stats at 18 days old:
Weight- 8 lbs 0 oz (23%)
Head- 35.5 cm (17%)
Sleeping- The first few nights were rough. He wanted to stay awake until 4 am. After that , he figured it out and started sleeping from 11:30 pm until around 5 am. After eating, he would go back to sleep until around 8 am. He definitely prefers the rock and play to sleeping on his back so that it what we are using. Naps are sporratic and irregular but he will sleep just about anywhere during the day.
Eating- Colin eats roughly every 2-3 hours during the day. In the evenings, he cluster feeds from around 8-11:30. At his 1 month appointment, Dr. Nandwani told me that he is slightly tongue tied but that it won't affect him unless he has had problems nursing. Thankfully, he hasn't at all. Nursing has gone extremely smoothly this time.
Accomplishments this month- Colin is NOT a fan of tummy time. In fact, I placed him on his belly and he rolled to his back three times. I know that this is a fluke because it is way too early but it just shows how much he dislikes it! He also is not a fan of baths! Slowly he is tolerating them more but at the beginning he would just cry and cry.
I found that I am a huge fan of sleeping baby pictures. If Colin falls asleep on me, I will most likely snap a pic because he is just so cute and I know this won't last forever!
