On the Sunday before Halloween, we went to Champion Forest Baptist Church's Fall Festival. Faithbridge has done one the past couple of years, but this year they didn't do one. I was really looking forward to bringing her there but maybe next year they will bring it back. Thankfully, CFBC always does one so we headed over there for some Halloween fun!
We started the night off with, no surprise here, pictures! We had to get some shots of the kiddos in their precious costumes. I absolutely adore looking at little children in costumes!
| 2 Aggie football players and 1 bumble bee |
| You can tell that there was A LOT to look at! There are all looking in different directions. |
| Open your eyes, Ave! |
| My sweet girl ready to party! Sidenote- I looked everywhere to find a plain black long sleeved t-shirt with no success. This shirt was the best that I could do but it had white letters showing through. I thought that they wouldn't show but white is showing in every pic. Oh well! |
| Can you tell that she's getting some molars? That finger is practically down her throat! |
| Avery was checking out Lukie's manly costume |
| This picture melts my heart. It isn't often these days that we see any hints of a smile in pictures. |
| Linds and her little football player, shoulder pads and all! |
We decided to hit up some rides next. There was only one ride that looked tame enough for our little ones. It just went in a circle a few times really slow. Perfect for kiddos!
| Walking over to the ride |
| #1 Ride! |
| Faster! |
| There was NO leg room in the back. I'm pretty sure this ride was not made for adults to fit in it. I don't know how we managed to shove ourselves back there but we made it work! |
| Watching the Merry-go-Round |
Next, we met up with some friends and headed over to the trunk or treat section of the festival.
| Landon, the cow! |
| Luke decided to dish out some smiles while we were waiting to get some candy |
| And, we're off! Ave was clutching that bucket so tightly! |
There were people passing out candy from the trunks of their cars. It took Avery a little while to figure out what we were doing but she got the hang of it. She could have cared less about the candy. She just loved going up to the people.
After going around for a little while she decided that she would rather check out her loot. She just had a seat right in the middle of the parking lot!
I think Avery had a great time at the festival. She got her first tastes of candy and loved every bit!
Here's a picture of Avery from last year-
And this year-
I just can't believe how much she has changed in the course of one year. It is amazing, and I'm so thankful to be going through the holidays again with my sweet bumble bee!
