Three Weeks Old

Avery was three weeks old yesterday. I can't believe that she will be a month old in just days!

Some highlights from this week are...

-Avery passed her hearing screen! Woohoo! She failed both of her hearing screens (just the left side) when we were in the hospital. We were told that she needed to be sleeping in order for the test to work well. During the first test she was wide awake. The World Cup was on and those darn horns probably were keeping her awake. We were told that fluid can be in the ears right after birth which causes a lot of kiddos to fail. We went back to the hospital this past Thursday and she passed! We figured that she could hear...we'd been doing our own tests but it is nice to know for sure.

-We have been tested on how well we can get by on no sleep. Avery loves hanging out and eating during the night. Sometimes she likes to eat 45 minutes after she finished her last meal. Oh well! Hopefully this will cause some major weight gain so that she can fit in all of her cute 0-3 month summer clothes!

-We escaped the house for a dinner at Spring Creek BBQ with Avery! It was for Kyle's birthday and we did not want to miss it. I was extremely nervous that she would be wide awake and screaming but she did awesome. She slept the entire time. I hope that she will be just like that at all of our dinner outings!

-Avery went on her first walk around the lake in our neighborhood. She loves the stroller!
