Friends, Food, and Fireworks!

Every year Faithbridge puts on a big 4th of July fireworks event.  Avery was only a couple of weeks old two years ago so we didn't attend.  Last year they didn't put it on so we were so excited to take Ave this year.  It turned out to be one of my favorite nights as a family of 3.  Avery had so.much.fun!  She was literally so happy all night long.  Have I ever mentioned that I love holidays!  They just are a blast.

The event didn't start until 7 pm so we had some friends over before for some appetizers and playtime for the little ones.

So ready for friends to get there

Gibson was looking as handsome as ever on his first 4th of July.

Landon kept his star glasses on his head for the longest time, so cute!

Around 7, we left for the church.  My expectations for the evening were extremely low.  I figured that we would be leaving before the fireworks for sure.  My girl is "so scared" as she says of everything loud so we parked close to make an early exit if needed.

Once we got settled, we grabbed some hot dogs, snow cones, and chips for dinner.  I'd already eaten a ton beforehand but that didn't stop me one bit!

Look who we ran into!

There was so much to do there!  Faithbridge really outdid itself this year.  Between the food, fireworks, bouncy houses, slides, and fire trucks, the kids were in heaven!

They even handed out glowstick necklaces which Ave wore proudly.

Avery really wanted to ride on the giant slide so Bill went up too to help her get up to the top/ keep her from getting trampled by bigger kids.

The slide wasn't exactly slippery so they had to bounce down it which was hilarious.  I was laughing so this was the best shot I got of them on their way down-

Jackson couldn't have had more fun!

Next, Avery bounced in one of the toddler bouncy houses.  She was having such a great time, she didn't want to get out.

Around 8 o'clock, a band came out and started playing some fun songs that all the kids loved to dance to.  We got some popcorn and hung out for a while before the fireworks began.

So proud of her necklace

She busted out her wheels on the bus dance move for the occasion :)

This is probably my favorite picture of the night.  Garrett couldn't have had a better time!

I love that Luke loves Bill ...and I love the fact that he calls him "Beeeeeeell"!

Around 9 o'clock, Ave was still jamming to the music and having a great time so we decided to stay for the fireworks.  She saw some going off in the distance and didn't seem scared.  She ended up loving them!  She kept saying, "there's one, there's one."  All the other kiddos liked them as well.  I was shocked!

On the way home, Avery kept looking for more fireworks.  It was around 10 o'clock by the time we got home which was probably the latest she had ever stayed up before.  It's so much fun seeing her experience new things.  Like I said before, it was really one of the best times we've all had together.  It makes me so excited for the fall and all of the holidays that come with it!
