The day before Valentine's Day, Steph had a playdate at her house. I only got 2 pictures from the day, but Ave loved spending some cousin time with Sophia.

After the party, we went to get some lunch and did a little shopping at Costco. Anytime there are two seats in a shopping cart, Ave always tells me that Sophia belongs in the other seat.

The next morning, Ave woke up and found some Valentine goodies for her at breakfast. I had really high hopes of making cute heart pancakes, but we seem to be very time restricted on school days so it just didn't happen.
They had a lot of fun activities at school, and that evening I made one of Bill's favorite meals followed by our tradition of chocolate fondue for dessert. I don't know how it started but Valentines day is the one time a year that the fondue pot makes its appearance. This year was Avery's first time to participate.

Valentine's Day has never been a super exciting holiday but we had a lot of fun staying in. I went to bed that night being so thankful for days like those and spending time with my little family!
