I've been thinking about getting Avery's haircut for a while now but never knew when the right time to do it was. Her hair had gotten very long but looked so sweet that I waited until I felt it was time. Well, last week I noticed that the ends were looking a little rough and decided to go ahead and get it cut before I changed my mind (or before she had hair past her booty...whichever came first!). We went to Snip Its in The Woodlands Mall, and I think Avery really enjoyed it!

I felt a lot less emotional about the whole process than I thought I would be probably because 1) she will be 3 in a couple months. It was time! 2)The lady cut a whole inch off. I could hardly tell that it was cut at all. She just basically evened out the bottom.
After the big haircut, Avery jumped at the chance to ride the carousel.

We then walked over to Bath and Body Works. Avery helped me smell all of the soaps and pick out some new summery ones. As I was driving home, I kept thinking about how much fun it now is to take my girl places like that. She walked from the parking lot throughout the whole mall and was more like my little sidekick than a toddler. It makes me excited about what the future holds!
