Avery started Kindergarten last August. Ever since last Spring, she asked me to drive by her "kindergarten school" each time we were near. This girl couldn't have been more excited to begin this new chapter of her life. I knew that she was more than ready and was equally as excited for her.
The week before school began, she had Meet the Teacher. We started in the cafeteria and then met in the classroom to see where she would be spending her days soon.
If I'm 100% honest, I thought I was prepared to send her off to kindergarten but that night I really struggled with it. I was so excited for her but the thought of her being gone 5 days a week for 7 hours a day was a lot to take in. We also didn't know any of the other kids so I worried about her making new friends, how she would like it, etc.
The big day snuck up very quickly, and Avery was thrilled!

Her teacher, Mrs. Cobb, couldn't be more loving and sweet so I felt really comfortable leaving her there. She went right to work and didn't mind us leaving at all!

After school Avery was soooo excited about telling me all of the details from her day. She loved every part and was ready to go back the next day. I'm so thankful that all of my fears were relieved! Since I am about 4 months late posting this, she still adores going to school every day and can't wait to get back after Christmas break. School is her happy place, and she absolutely loves to learn!
