Avery has been begging to get her ears pierced for a while now. I wanted her to decide on her own to get them done so that she is mentally prepared for the pain that comes along with it. We made a month long sticker chart in October, and the reward that she chose was to get her ears pierced. So, over Thanksgiving break we went!
She was so tough. She told us, my mom and me, that she almost cried but was brave and didn't!
She gazed at her earrings in every mirror that she came across. As a treat to celebrate, we went to Marble Slab for some ice cream.
Over the course of the next few weeks, she showed any and every person that she came across. She even told Bill to tell all of his work friends about her new earrings. Love her. She looks so grown up with them in. She has been so responsible when taking care of them, and I'm just so proud of the big girl she is becoming!
