I can't believe that Chloe is three! She is such a fun loving ball of energy. I just love her enthusiasm and zest for life. This year brought lots of growth for my girl. She started the year often frustrated because she couldn't communicate her needs or wants. She definitely had some terrible two's moments but I have seen such growth over the past year. She has turned into this sweet, nurturing, outdoorsy, crazy girl. I adore watching her grow up, and I can't wait to see what the next year brings.
This is the first year that I have done the birthday questionnaire with Chloe. Here's how it went-

There are some things that seem to be more challenging with Chloe (mainly because of her speech) and some things that are sooo much easier. Potty training was one of those things. In August, I decided to bite the bullet and potty train since we were stuck at home for just a couple more weeks for summer. She caught on so quickly and was so proud of herself. Going #2 was a little more challenging because she was scared but once we got over that hurdle, she never looked back.
We also decided to get rid of her pacifiers a little after her birthday. We went to Build a Bear in the mall and put all of her remaining pacis in the bear. I was a little skeptical that it would work but she did amazingly! She has gone through transitions so well, and I am constantly surprised by her.
Speech- I started noticing that Chloe was a little behind when it came to her speech when she was around 1 1/2. We've been working on saying new words and producing sounds but she just hasn't gotten where she needs to be (in my opinion). Her comprehension is great but there are several sounds that her mouth simply won't form. For example, she used to say Molin and now says Holin for Colin. We are going to get her evaluated through Tomball ISD to see if she qualifies for speech therapy at the school.
Some of my favorite things that she says are-
"Me wuv butterbies (or whatever she loves that day)."
Mimi and Papa (Grammy and Grandpa's names from Chloe)
If Chloe is around, we all know that we will be laughing and have lots of fun! She is such a joy, and we are so excited that she is three!
