Kelly's Graduation

Two days after getting home from Grand Cayman, we loaded up in the car to go to San Antonio for Kelly's graduation from UT Health Science Center's Nursing School.  I'm so happy that she is done with school, has a job in Cardiology at the Med in College Station, and is getting married in just a few weeks!  I can't believe it!

A road trip to SA is just not the same without a stop at Buc-ees!

An Icee and Beaver nuggets- all was right in the world

So happy with her treat
Ave was in LOVE with our hotel.  She played hide and seek in numerous places and absolutely loved talking on the phone.

We had to unplug the phone eventually because she kept dialing random numbers

That night we ate dinner at Zios.  After trying very hard to behave for a long dinner, I eventually let her out and she did what she likes doing best- distributing stickers to everyone.

The next morning was the big day. Ave couldn't have been happier with the continental breakfast at the hotel, just like her mama!  I don't know why but I love eating free breakfasts at hotels.  It's weird.  After breakfast, we headed to the graduation.

Our happy row- not everyone decided to participate in my picture

Ave was really into cheering for everyone

Sophia loved Ave's cell phone

I feel maybe just a bit too proud of my picture taking skills with this shot.  I got it from all the way across the gym.  I love my new camera!

Kelly graduated Summa Cum Laude- how did she get so smart?  We are all so proud of her and know that she will make such a great nurse!

During the graduation, we took turns letting Avery go up and down the stairs.  She did really well in the auditorium for a while, but graduations just aren't made for small children.

Sisters!

After the graduation, we went to Pappasitos for lunch.

Aunt Kelly, soon to be Uncle Andrew, and Ave

Right before we left, Avery decided to show her stink face for everyone.  She got lots of laughs which only encouraged her to do it many, many more times.

We had a really fun trip to San Antonio and are so excited to celebrate Kelly's next phase in life!
